Need dosing info.
116g. Baby hit by car, swollen nose, was bleeding from nose but now just clear discharge, bruised chest, no sign of internal injuries, has some trouble eating so giving 3cc every hour alternating hydration with fox valley 20/50. Was saved yesterday day at 12pm. Have prednisone 10mg.

I can help dose this for you (I'll start working on this now) but what are you treating with prednisone? Just asking because nothing was mentioned about paralysis, range of motion, or something that suggests prednisone is indicated. I see you have been around longer than I, but I'd feel better with assurance the pred is needed so we do not suppress the babies immune system unnecessarily with steroids...

Got dosing from Nancy In New York. Treating with prednisone because of head injury and nasal swelling. Trouble breathing and limited range of motion. Vet said best option, reduce swelling, cant see him until Monday, he is away and not cerified so can only take her to him.... long time friend. She is bruised from top of chest down to stomach, and was bleeding from nose up until this morning. But she is eating, peeing sleeping ALOT. and only wants to stay curled in ball and fights/crys when stretched out. She doesnt seem to have anything broken and lungs sound clear and open. She just seems very sore. Her name is Shoe. And she is the only one of 3 that made it the other two were doa when I went to pick her up. A kind older woman called me to get her and has been calling non stop to check on her. That's how she got her name.... she ran from the side of the road after being hit and clung to her shoe.

Everything feels solid, head video chatted with me and showed me how to and what to feel for as fas as injuries. On the us side she loves to growl. Lol I'll post a picture tomorrow. For tonight just keeping in dark warm room and only bothering to feed. She can walk and will just doesnt want to. Must feel like I do after a long day at the gym I haven't gone to in forever.

Here is Shoe. She is much better today, more active and alert! Hard to see brusing in photo. It is from my second finger down to her back leg. And her poor swollen face but we have made it 48hours!

Are you sure it's bruising on the tummy? I see the discoloration but I also see it on the other side and I've had many babies over the years with the same discoloration of tummy fur.

Definitely discoloration. Not the fur color under the color of the fur she is purple. Non of my other babies have this and vet agreed. Had to bathe her last night so did it on video with him. Poor girl. She is peppy today!:serene

Definitely NOT sorry. The yellow color is from pee, have to bathe her once a day. She just lays in her spot and pees all over herself

Okay, I was just checking. The first few times I saw the tummy stripes I thought it was horrific bruising. It was very persistent too! :grin2
