Baby Squirrel Pneumonia

Hello Good People,
Found baby squirrel and made radical mistake by feeding with bottle, baby has pneumococci now. Keep him on heated pad and he still eats. Can he survive without antibiotic? He is max 3 weeks and has eyes opened. I got today 2 pills of Amoxycillin but read different opinions if this antibiotic for rodents. can someone help with advise please?

Look for Baytril/Cipro or Clavamox/augmentin which are better meds. Yes, he must have meds if he has AP.

Let’s start with amoxicillin. We need baby’s weight and strength of med. to dose. Is this a red squirrel? 3 weeks is very early for eyes open. Could you post a picture?
