Hi all!
I have this little baby born July 28, so 11 days old as of today. He weighs 19g as of 8am today. I read a chart recently that I'll attach a photo of that says the recommended weights for each week. My question is that it says as a newborn it should weigh 15-25g. I didn't have a scale until he was 5 days old and on that day he weighed 14g but definitely didn't look to have lost weight in those first 5 days.
What is the recommended weight gain by the day/week for squirrels? I'll also attach a pic of him from today to see what you all think of his size/weight
Thanks for the help!310748310749

Personally I would take this chart and throw it out.
These weights are out of whack.

I find that in the first couple of weeks with a little one,
if they gain a gram a day, I'm happy. Some will stay the
same weight for a couple of days, and then gain a few.
I also find that once they hit ~4 weeks old they start gaining
consistently more per day. I have seen babies gain 4-6 grams
per day.
Not to worry if you're little one doesn't gain like that,
the real important thing is that they don't lose, especially at this age.

It's hard to tell what your little one weighs especially when dealing
with grams.

See if this helps.
The 2-3 weeks old photo looks
more like a just 3 week old.

Thanks for the info! At what weight do you recommend for them to be to determine whether or not they need to be fed throughout the night?
