A 4 1/2 month old wild squirrel named June has a small skin tag like area on the left side of her nose. I have been feeding her for over a month now and just noticed it 2 weeks ago. Is this an area that she might have gotten bit by a sibling and it separated ? Does anyone know what this could be or if it is a concern?

It’s really hard to see in the pics but I think I see a small area protruding on the lip/nose.
I would just watch it for infection. There probably isn’t much you can do. If it’s fleshy tissue it will heal. It might not be cosmetically attractive but it should heal.
Just to confirm, it’s not a tooth....right?

I will try to get a better look tomorrow but I thought It was connected to her upper nose nostril entrance area . Thanks
