This might be a very stupid question but my boy has urine that dries leaving crystals. But when moist it is very oily.. it's very bizarre and I'm wondering if it's a sign of some other medical issue or is it just because it's mating season and what I've got is marking or some glandular discharge . I assume you may ask about diet. They eat Henry's healthy pets HHBs. Usually wild bites and sometimes picky eater. I just mix it up occasionally or when I run out I supplement with mazzuri rat and mouse diet. This is pretty infrequent though I might give them those harder biscuits once a week . He get salad greens usually spring mix, broccoli, cauliflower , green beans snap peas, sweet potato or yams, Apple, grapes, mango, avocado, organic coconut unsweetened, cranberries, and the occasional nuts usually almonds halves pecan or walnut. Of course these items are not given all at once or every day but those are the types of foods that I give him. Also carrot in small doses maybe once a week. A sliver or so. I know carrots very high in vitamin A and that's an item I have to be careful with. all of these iShould I be concerned with a UTI or some other thing or do you think he's just marking? There's almost no odor to it though. Color is not really dark kind of a golden yellow he used to put out darker urine and his stools have changed color to they seem lighter than they used to be . Milo is probably at least 700 and 6 1/2 years old . Should I be worried or am I being paranoid as usual.? He does seem a little more lethargic and when I go to feed he doesn't necessarily greet me for food like he used to at course unless I'm shaking the nut bag.. thanks in advance:dono:

I've never seen greasy oily urine I'm assuming it's glandular discharge.or..marking. No real odor...least not abnormal.... it's been going on for couple weeks or more..it dries into crystals ..very odd I am wiping his drop pan at least once a day. I even emailed the vet and haven't gotten a response:tap leaving him this weekend first time in 6 years I just don't want to leave behind a problem and me not here to take care of it.

I think I've answered my own question.. pretty sure it's directly related to the season .. Skyler's is pretty much the same. Milo doesn't drink as much worried for nothing:grin2

Since you are coming this way, is there anyway to collect a urine sample and I could get it to the vets to do a urinalysis?
