So this is vinny. Ive had him now 10days. I beleive he is still under 2weeks old. He has had flakey skin the last couple days. I dont believe he is dehydrated. I am feeding him PA esbilac powder prob. He is eating about 1-1.25ml every 2 hours and i am trying to incorporate water inbetween feedings as much as i can. I work two jobs and have been bring him along.
Is this dehydration still? Or something else. Also i tent test him every couple feedings. He has been peeing regularly. His poop has been inconsistent. But i think its from resent formula change from PA GMF to PA PF prob.

What kind of container is he in? If you put a small jar with a bit of sponge and water in it and put it on the heated part if the container with him it will humidify and help this issue.

You can also use aloe juice on him. Warm it first and just rub it into his skin.

What type of heat source are you using? He almost looks sunburned. Heat lamps will do that.
The correct heat source is a No Shut Off heating pad set on LOW. It should be under half of the container.

You put small scraps of fleece in the bin. If they get too hot they will climb up in the fleece away from the heat or to the cool side of the bin.
If they get cold they will burrow down toward the heat source.

He has a heating pad on the outside of a plastic container with no lid but high walls. It is on low and only half. He had two wash cloths on the bottom for padding and a bandana on top for cover.

Ill try the spong and can i use organic coconut oil? Or just aloe juice?

I wouldn't use coconut oil on a pinkie. The aloe juice isnt as heavy.
