Hello all! Last night my daughter found a squirrel outside that was not moving. I am assuming he is injured as he will not move but I'm not for certain. I worked last night and did not anticipate he would make it through the night but when I got home this morning he is still breathing and eyes open. What should I do? Should I offer him water first with a dropper? Other nutrition? Thanks for your advice and any other tips!!

How old is he? Can you post pictures? Any idea what happened? A safe bin or cage that’s padded in a warm dark and quiet place for the short term will help with fear and stress and maybe a vet visit to see why his legs aren’t working. Don’t give up on him. Give him a piece of apple for right now—nutrition and hydration. I’m sure experts will chime in.

Thank you for your response! I found a wildlife rehab facility that takes squirrels and took him in. His back is visibly deformed and they feel his back is broken...poor thing! :(

Long Distance Prayers---for you injured friend.
PLEASE give us any updates that you receive from the rehab facility. ( even if it is bad news.)
