How long does molting take?

I've searched several threads but can't seem to find anything on how long the molting process takes. My boy seemed to molt overnight with the exception of his butt. His butt has had the soft fuzzy fur for a couple of weeks now. Looks like his knees are slowing growing the new fur as well. Just seems to be taking forever so I was curious.
