How old is he? How long have you had him? Is the pus draining from the ear canal or from an exterior part of the ear? Can you post up a photo?
In the short term, you might tray a warm compress to help ease pain and to promote drainage.

Just a clean hand towel, soaked in hot/warm water and wrung out so it is not dripping. Hold up to his ear for for a couple minutes if possible.
Cipro is commonly used in UTIs, sometimes a family member or friend may have an unused pill sitting around. Check with them and if you locate one we can help with dosing.

Is a vet a possibility? If not there will be someone who can advise re antibiotics you may have available. There have been ear issues on TSB. Maybe you can find a pediatric earwash to clear some of the pus out of the ear canal. Pain relief would certainly be good for the baby. I’m assuming you can get infant ibuprofen? Pictures would be good and some information about your baby.

I see you're in the U.K. Your best option is to try to get an antibiotic from a friend or family member. All you need is one pill. We can dose it for you. Systemic antibiotics aren't very effective for ear infections but it's better than nothing. Ideally antibiotic drops for the ears OR eyes would be perfect. This won't go away without antibiotics.

Poor little one, ear issues are no fun and if it’s an infection, it can be difficult to get rid of. I have a little girl who struggled with them for quite sometime. Oral antibiotics can help some so I agree with HRT, I would ask around and see if you can locate even one pill of the meds suggested. And I do know these infections can be painful, so I would defiantly give something for pain. The infant ibuprofen is fairly easy to find at pharmacies from my experience. I am sending you a private message with some information. Hope your little one will get some relief soon.:grouphug
