I just had a little 3 1/2 -4 week old baby come in with about 10 puncture wounds from a cat. All of her legs work, and most of the wounds look to be only through the skin with two into the muscle of her hind leg. Im not even sure she will make it, but I will always try as long as they are breathing. She appears to be pretty healthy otherwise and seems strong. The only antibiotics I have right now on hand are Albon and zindaclyn. I tried to look up an answer thinking maybe something else might be better, but search is not bringing anything helpful. I'd like to get her on them right away, but if baytril or amoxicillin based would be better for treatment I can get whatever I need in the morning..... it would mean 12 hours with nothing but the wounds being flushed out and a Epson salt soak.
I also have Metacam 1.5/ml Id like to give her some pain/inflammation help at least but what would be the dose for her? she is 60 grams. I have a wildlife vet that will get her in in the morning just trying to stabilize her and this is beyond what I normally deal with... please help! I think she would be a viable baby if she can get stabilized and make it through the night
