Hello guys,
This little girl, Sally, just opened her eyes on Friday. The left didn't open fully until last night. This morning I notice it's cloudy. Do you think it's an ulcer? I read previous posts about cloudy eyes. This baby is well nourished, been on Fox Valley since I've had her -- about 2 weeks, now. She is about 70 grams.
BTW -- I have eye meds left over from an ulcer on my dog's eye. I have Tobramycin 0.3% drops with a -4/18 expiration so assume that's still good.
I also have an old tube of "Neomycin and Polymyxin B Sulfates and Dexmethasone Ophthalmic Ointment USP" --there's a "07/11" stamp on the tube so assume that's a date. Don't know why I still have it around, but...
Thank you all!

Hi,

I'm not sure what is going on with the eye, but DO NOT use the steroid ointment, it can cause huge problems. I'll wait for others to come on and advise but please hold off using that, besides which it is 7 years old, throw it away.

Eye treatment is no joke!!

Thank you - I already tossed the ointment. I still have the drops. I was told by an experienced rehabber to put 3-4 drops in the eye a day. I can't get the baby to the vet until Wednesday.
