Hi y'all. I have 2 babies about 4 1/2 weeks old. Usually eat 4-5 cc every 4 hours except at night. Since the early feeding this morning, they are starving about every 2 1/2 hours. Is it normal for them to go through a growth spurt like babies where they need to eat more often? They are both peeing clear and pooping like they should be.

Yes. There is a BIG growth spurt from the 4th to 6th week.
An average 4 week old is 60 grams.
They double in size to around 100-120 grams at about the time they open their eyes.
And then settle down to a more gradual growth after the 6th week.

You can feed them once every 3 hours right now,
And then once every 4 hours after they open their eyes.
Get ready... they are about to start demanding up to 10 or 12 ml per feeding.
Once mine get to 12ml I swap to a 3ml syringe and take it slow at first.

They probably will not need stimulation after they open their eyes,
but I normally do it anyway to monitor their condition and keep their cage cleaner.
