My son brought home a baby squirrel a couple days ago and now has a clicking sound. He has been very still and not active since we found him. He is about three to four weeks old. I have read to start him on antibiotics and I have some liquid amoxicillin that we were given a new dog we got a few weeks ago I just don’t know what dose. Please help

Do you know the date when the amoxicillin was given to you? It is only good for about 14 days after the water is added if kept refrigerated.
Do you know how much this little squirrel weighs? A kitchen scale works good for weighing... weight is important for medication dosing as well as determining the proper amount to feed.
He needs antibiotics baytril, ciprofloxicin or augmenten/clavamox. Amoxicillin won't do it. It can be a human pill and we can help you break it down and dose it. Need:
Weight of baby (gram scale) and form and strength of pill. Time is of the essence.
With what and what are you feeding? Here's a helpful link with proper feeding techniques to help minimize the risk of aspiration pneumonia.

I got it about seven days ago and it has been in the fridge. It says it’s 50mg of amoxicillin and 12.5 clavulanic acid as the potassium salt. He is about 8oz.
8 oz would be 226 g which is huge for a 3-4 week old squirrel. Are you sure about the weight?

A pic of the baby with something for size reference. (Tuna can, soup can, chapstick etc). If you cant post yourself, text it to mb e at 2032147427
That med you have is clavamox and is perfect. We just need to figure dose. Do you have a 1cc syringe?
