Urgent...need cipro dosing for sick baby

Was given a 5 week baby who was found during a rain storm. He started with sneezing, then runny nose and now clicking. Started on amoxicillin until i could get my hands on cipro bc i know that is best. Just got the cipro and need dosing instructions asap. Hoping i am not too late. It is cipro 250mg and he weighs 74 grams. Thanks for any help!!

He was rehydrated properly, proper heating pad protocol, correct esbilac formula and using miracle nipples and syringes. :)

Hang on a second. How long ago was the last amoxicillen dose? If within 12 hours, ignore the info I sent you for a loading dose and use just the normal 2X per day dose...

All good critter mom. I held off on am dose of amox when i knew i was getting the cipro. Love the attention to detail. You guys are awesome. Still hanging in there. Not eating as much, but a little is going in each time and being very patient.

Hey all! Reading this thread and I am having the exact same problem with my baby. He just started clicking and tachypnia today. Currently have Cipro 250 mg tabs and Amox/Clav 875mg tablets that are not expired and we are going buy a scale to get his exact weight now. Can someone please help me out with dilution and dosage?
