I have had this little guy for about two weeks (since the 15th). I estimate that he was around 1 week old when I got him as his umbilical cord fell off 4 days later (the 19th). That would put him at three weeks tomorrow, however he is TINY. He weighs only 28 grams. He was 17 grams when I first got him, so he has gained, but it’s been very slow progress and I feel like his weight is very off for his age. He is on Esbilac (yes, with pre and probiotics) being fed 6 times a day (approximately every 3-4 hours), one night feeding, and eats around 2-2 1/2 ccs per feeding. He’s not bloated or dehydrated and had been peeing and pooping well, he seems otherwise healthy. He’s beginning to grow fur and has turned gray, so he looks for the most part, like a 3 week old but he is just SO dang tiny. Any suggestions? I’m guessing he’s probably too young to tolerate ultra boost. Should I be adding yougurt to his formula? I’m at a loss for what else to do!

I have a whole crew of midgets myself. So frustrating when you are doing all you know to do and they are still tiny. I go to half fv 20/50 and half esbilac at 3 to 4 weeks. With these, I started just before 3 weeks with some. Now they're small and chubby...lol. somehow that seems better.

Missouri reportedly has four types of squirrels. Fox, red, grey and southern flyer.
Being "tiny" we can assume it's not a fox squirrel, it's not a flyer. That leaves red
or grey squirrel. Reds are smaller then greys but You mentioned grey fur coming in
so I'm assuming it's a grey. Can you post a picture so we can see what your seeing?

I don’t know why you couldn’t add Ultraboost to his formula. I have always used it, but I also have never had any eyes closed babies. You could reach out to farmmom in a private message and ask her the question. She also uses Ultraboost for all her babies. I have never had a diarrhea problem with the Ultraboost the way you can with whipping cream.

I use Ultraboost in favor of heavy cream with eyes closed babies. Always a good choice IMO, but not everyone has access to Ultraboost but everyone can get heavy cream! If you decide to use this, introduce it slowly.

I know we are sticklers on this, but... are you are using the Powdered version and not the premxed liquid version?
