Accidentally fed half & half instead of formula

hi guys! So I have two 5 week olds I just got 2 days ago. Long story short....I have them at work with me & just realized i fed them each 3cc of HALF and HALF that was for my coffee instead of their formula. Totally my mistake b/c I put the liquids in identical containers. UGH! What do i do now? This was at 11:30. They are fine & sleeping & acting normal. I know they are well hydrated. Im freaked out that they will get diarrhea now. Its time for their next meal...do I feed formula or do water only? Pedalyte? Uhg, stupid, stupid me...i cant believe I did this. And my coffee doesnt taste so great with Fox Valley in it.

Hey Jen, you got some babies...I bet they liked that half and half! :rotfl.

I think you should probably offer some water to help flush it out of their system. They still might end up with loose stools, though.

I hope others will chime in with what they think is best.

Hi Mel!!! Yes i got babies!! 3 of them on Sunday night from a rehabber. Said they were siblings but the 2 ( Sammy & Sunny) are much bigger than the 3rd, with eyes open & matching fur. Sage (baby 3) is much smaller, eyes still closed & has the most silky silver fur. Anyway i texted Tina & she said it was fine to feed them formula since it was only one feeding of half & half. So im 2 more formula feeds down tonight & all is well. Phew!! I just had such a busy day that i freaked out when i realized i gave them half & half. Too much today with torrential downpour s, an hour drive home in it & back to school night. Im ready for the weekend!! I just want to sit on the couch wth my squirrels in my bra & relax!! :gigg
