I have a baby about 4 almost 5 weeks old, hes been doing great and then he got diarrhea a couple days ago and hes had water since now it seems like hes constipated and hes also been teething. He ate fine yesterday morning and then wouldn't eat yesterday night I contributed him not wanting to eat to his teething. I finally got him to eat a little formula at about 2 today. I stimulated him and he seems to be struggling to poop, its firm and has dark red spots which I'm worried are blood...please help.

What are you feeding the baby? What type of formula?
How long have you had him?
We would love to help you.

When I found him he was just a pinky maybe a few days old? I've been feeding the fox valley formula but I've heard people have had problems with it? Right now I'm sticking with water, he did just poop and I didnt see any red in it.
Is it possible he's getting blocks now and nibbling on them, that will change the color of the poo.
He may be pooping on his own, it's the right age.
The problem was with the Fox Valley 32/40. The Fox Valley 20/50 is fine.
Can you post a photo of him and his poops? How often do you feed him and does he have access to other things in between formula feedings?
Any other change in his behavior? Keep him hydrated!

He wasnt getting blocks at the time, he seemed constipated and I gave him a little apple juice in his formula and that seemed to help, healthy happy baby again :). Thank you
