Pneumonia

Nursing a baby squirrel and believe he has pneumonia. Where can I get an antibiotic for him??

If you have no antibiotics on hand, ask all your neighbors, family and friends. If it is aspiration pneumonia (AP) it can kill quickly. Preferred drugs are Baytril (animal drug) / Cipro (human drug) which is very common or Clavamox (animal drug) or Augmentin (people drug).

Sometimes you can find FishMox or FishFlox in a pet store / fish store that is used for treating fish... we can work with those.

If you have or find any sort of antibiotic, tell us the name and someone will let you know if it will work on AP.

We 'll need to know how much the baby weighs to dose any drugs... Act fast.
