Hey everyone! I found a squirrel on the sidewalk in front of my apartment. She doesn’t appear to have any broken bones or bleeding injuries, just a small protruding piece of flesh from her rectum that is bleeding. Her heart is beating very strong. She doesn’t move too much. Please help me! I don’t want her to die!

We put her in a shoebox with a t-shirt in it and another t-shirt draped over it because she was getting swarmed pretty badly by flies

Those little white things look like fly eggs. Can you remove those and any others? If you can, take a few pictures of full body to get a better idea of her overall appearance.

She is just barely alive. Her breathing has slowed down. We have cleared all the flies from her and what may have been eggs

Since she is in NYC can someone contact Dragonfly? Dr. H on Long Island will treat squirrels.

The squirrel is in westchester.

Okay, the New York City in her location threw me off. Where in Westchester (big county, but has good rehabbers)?
