Hello, hopefully this post is permitted. My cat brought a squirrel into the house today. He does not appear to have any external injuries but he is not using his rear legs. I'm syringe feeding him Esbilac and he seems to be taking that well. He doesn't appear to be in pain but obviously that is hard to tell. I'm guessing on his age-he is approximately 5" long not including his tail. He has lower teeth and very small upper teeth. I'm not sure he'll survive the night but I want to give him a chance. Can someone give me some basic info... important facts that I should know right away? Thank you!

Warm dark quiet. Do you have a heating pad? If so, put it on low under the container he is in. He needs to have hydration fluid before formula. Hydration formula 1cup warm water , 1 tbsp sugar, 1/2 tsp salt. Give him what he will take.

Do you have amoxicillin or clavamox, or Baytril or Cipro. Because the baby was in the cats mouth, he needs antibiotics.

Put him ina pile of fleece or t shirt material so he can bury and hide.
