My dog got ahold of a squirrel about 30 minutes ago. The squirrel got a couple good shakes and appears to be in shock. She doesn’t have any flesh wounds that I can see. I put her in a little cat carrier and placed her in a dark room. What should I do?

Keep monitoring her to see if she recovers. Dark and quiet will help keep her calm. Did you offer water to see if she will drink?
SS, do you know any vet who might be able to evaluate this one? Could be breaks, internal bleeding, nerve damage due to to the shaking.

I am not sure where the OP is located. I have been checking to see if she has been back on. PM 2 Cava

I sent her an e-mail requesting she come back, we are trying to help.
It looks like she logged off right after posting her message for help and has not been back.

Thank you everyone who for your help. Unfortunately she passed away. Thought she might make a comeback after she ate some apple, but she couldn’t pull through. :(
