Grey squirrel with blonde tail??

My mother in law mentioned to me that they have grey squirrels on their property with blonde tails.. has anyone heard of this?

I did a Google search and this is the only pic I came across that looks like them.. weird?

Some of the wilds in my residence are black fur and blonde / red tails.

I gave a couple in the neighborhood and also one with no hair on his tail except on the tip It looks like a lions tail. Lol.

It could be a genetic recessive variant or if they previously had normal hair and then later it started to turn white then it would be a sign of an autoimmune response/disease. Nothing too serious to worry about. Also not much can be done anyways in the latter case.
