Hi everyone, a friend of mine found a squirrel as she scared off the crow that had snatched those baby from its nest. I thought I could take care of it so I offered to take it home with me. It's not a pinky and it's eyes are opened and fully fured as well. I bought a heating pad and pedialite. I tried with the help of a syringe to feed it but it won't go for it. It's been sleeping for a while but it's seems to breeth, I don't know how to describe except maybe thats it's sounds like a click click... Also it's night over here so no vets are open and I can't buy any formula right now. We'll, anyways, I hope it mm makes it to tomorrow morning.
Please let me know if I can do anything for it in the mean time, and suggestions are welcomed and appreciated.

Read this immediately and follow to the letter:
Hydrating and feeding is a SLOW process so it doesn't aspirate fluids. Clicking is a sign of aspiration.

Elevating the hind quarters so the head is facing down can help fluid drain out if its just aspiration, it can't hurt. Put a rolled up facecloth under her to give her a little slope.

Thanks for all the suggestions so far it hasn't worked.
I got some fluid out though, it's diluted reddish color, by doing the steam in the bathroom trick. Got her to rest on my hand declined so her face is pointing downwards.
I'm afraid to try and feed her pidialite again cause the first time didn't go so well.
Maybe I'd like to try the antibiotics but I don't really have any at the moment.
OK that's it for now. Thanks.

Please private message me your contact information. I know of a rehabber or two in Montreal who may be able to help. This baby should be in experienced hands, as he is not taking readily to the syringe and needs hydration immediately.

Can you let me know what area of Montreal you are in? We may have some help for you. Please reach out ASAP... baby squirrels can go downhill very fast.
