Chipmunk with wobbly gate

Hi everyone. We got a call about a chipmunk some folks were nursing back to health. We picked him up and he seems to have some sort of head injury or possibly a neurological condition.

He walks wobbly (Do they named him dizzy) and the couple that found him tell me he was walking backward at first and seems to be getting better. I gave him prednisone in case it is an injury causing swelling somewhere.

I figure it is a waiting game at this point, but if anyone has any advice I'd love to hear it. He may end up needing a forever home =(

I don’t know much about chip pies. I think you should continue to treat with the prednisone. It may take a while for him to recover if it is a head injury. I’d say a couple weeks of dosing at least.

I hope others with more experience will chime in.
