Anyone know anything about bunnies.? Found this baby today after nearly getting chopped up by a lawn mower. He seems to be big enough to be ok on his own but I’m not sure.? I don’t even know where he came from to try to put him back with the rest. We have big hawks and other predators that come into the yard and don’t feel safe letting him go in the dark. Any advice.?

Totally big enough to be on its own. Release at dusk in an area with some cover such as a bush line or tall grasses.

Great hats what I was hoping, hubby just said saw the momma and all the babies will go release in the same area and hope momma comes by. Thanks so much

Baby bunny has still been hanging out around the house all the others have went on with momma. I’m worried that with her just sitting out in the open all the time and so close up to the house that the owls in our yard or hawks will get her is there anything I can do to help her.? Milos momma I tried to pm you but wouldn’t let me.

Move her to a safer location. I hate to say it but keeping it real...rabbits are heavily predated. Putting her in a manicured yard is making her a sitting target. Try a tree or bush line or a field with tall grasses.

I have done that we have just part of our 11 acres cut I put her down in the brush line where the others were and she’s come back up toward the house a few times now but not going to let a predator get her just won’t. I know she’s old enough to be on her own and not need momma anymore but all the others are still hanging around momma but her. Iv put her down in the tall grass by the woods the other day but she’s come back up this way now a few times and just hanging around. I checked on her once the other day and she was still in the crate most of the night. I’ll continue to put her in the brush but like I said not going to just leave her to get ate even though that’s life’s cycle.
