Sorry forgot the pictures, here they are. I gathered these and other things in hopes of keeping this Flyer happy and healthy. The last pic. is a view of her ‘highways’ in the squirrel room . I’m trying to find safe blooming things, or branches with pods, seed or tender, baby leaves so she can forage at night. I saw that Poplar was on the list, but someone at our gathering called this a ‘Tulip Poplar’ so wasn’t sure... We have some ‘Tulip Trees’ in our flower gardens, but they have a different leaf. And they came from a nursery from the ornamental bush section . So these are probably not safe. But this other was a wild tree in he woods.
She is such a picky little thing :( I’ve been trying to read through all the threads in the Flyer section; many good , helpful posts from Skul family and others ..But Teenie won’t listen to them lol! I’ve tried mealworms ( even toothpaste style per Mr. Skul), wax worms , some nice fat white grubs I found while digging in flower bed.. Yogurt, cottage cheese, baked chicken, nope. Won’t touch these. I have seen some evidence that she may be taking and eating some tiny Boo Balls made with all the leftover Mazuri and HHB’s the Greys leave. I count them on plate at supper time, and in AM a couple are gone , so hopefully she’s consuming them. I also saw throughout the older threads that many offer ‘Nut n Berry’ mix. But it’s NOT on the list for ‘Healthy Diet for Flyers’ , so I only give her a small amount of this seed mix. But seems like she should have this, since seeds/nuts are listed in the articles I’ve read ( thanks again for these links, very informative!)
She also seemed to eat better when she had her mate/companion she was with since 6/8 weeks old (he’s been gone, a month or so now:( ). She and he would play ‘steal your meal’; running with a tiny drumstick, Boo Ball etc. I try to spend time with her daily, petting her in a pouch when I CAN read :( but I wonder if it’s not enough.. I saw where one Flyer person said you must devote at least 1-2 hours daily , preferably at night; but here , life doesn’t allow this. Maybe I need another young female ??
Sorry for rambling :( just worried about my little , maybe lonely(?) girl . She’s approx. 7/8 mos old now; maybe she’s still young enough to accept a friend, idk. I’ll copy / paste this in the Flyer section but welcome thoughts from anyone here :)

I do think that companionship is key as they are a social species.

How cute; yes, breaks my heart. She and Tiny used to do these things. I may need to find another female. Just clueless where to look, who to trust. There’s something called the Secret Squirrel Society (ha!) my husband came across . Maybe they have some that are for adoption
