Need fast advise on how to inject prednisone

Squirrel with worst head injury I have ever seen. She will not drink. I am going to attempt injecting it but would greatly appreciate advice on how to mix it and how and where to inject it. Thank you!!

What form of pred do you have on hand?

Went to go pick up syringe and am back and she is still breathing. Trying to do all I can. She is so badly injured. Any help greatly appreciated.

1 mg pills. I only have a few so I can't afford to dissolve a whole pill (I need it all the time). I will have to guesstimate dosage.

I get so many head injury squirrels. Third one within the last couple of weeks. But she has no chance if I don't inject it. She was clipped by a car. One side of her head is bloodied and visibly swollen.

Ok, I'm not sure how safe it is to inject a pill, how it is tolerated locally, how you could keep it sterile and how it is absorbed.

Hopefully someone will come on and give you dosage for oral and you could see if it could be absorbed through the oral mucosa. Pred is one of the dosages I do not have, or I would write it up for you.

I have been administering it orally. With squirrels in the past that wouldn't swallow it, they did not make it so I'm just worried I haven't really done anything for her
