we had our little squirrel for about 4 days now. We had been feeding him frequently, cared for him, and he is a quite a jolly fellow. But now, he is VERY bloated and is not moving at all. I dont know if it is too late... help!!!!

Hi there. We need you to answer some questions so we can assess the situation and get your baby help. Please answer everything.

What is the history. Where did he come from? Did you hydrate him before offering formula?

How old is he? How much does he weigh (you feed based on weight in grams. Over and underfeeding can cause problems.)

WHAT are you feeding him?? How much and how often. How are you preparing it and what are you using to feed him? Are you reheating the formula and reusing it?

Where are you keeping him. Is he on a heating source or cold? Cold or dehydrated babies can't process food properly and can get tummy issues.

When is the last time he peed and pooped? Are you stimulating him before or after every feeding?

Some quick Questions....

What are you feeding?
How old is he/she?
How often are you feeding?
How many cc/mL's per feeding?

Can you post a photo of the baby please?

I just came back on the board, and was going to put on new members.
There was NOBODY waiting to come on the board, yet I see this person
sergey, posting.
Typically we allow people to post in the emergency and non emergency sections prior
to being "put on the board", in case there is a delay in someone admitting them.
BUT they need to register first, we just don't need to approve before they post.
I have no idea how this happened. I have NO information on
him to send him an email to please come back to the board. :dono

I have NO idea why this happened.
Hopefully they are reading as a guest and will come back on.
I will keep checking for new members every 10 minutes or so for about an hour. :(
Thank you cava.

Yep, hes done for... goddamit man :sadness guess ill answer the questions just to see what the problem was.

My sister found him while walking home, he was lying on the ground and his nest was knocked down. No sign of his mother at all. He was very young, he still didnt open his eyes and had no fur. She also did a lot of the feeding, so i cannot answer that accuratly.

Shew as feeding him some Cat milk replacement, i think. I also think she said something about a Petsmart guy recommending it to her. We fed him 3 times a day. they heated the milk. I think they also used goat milk too.

Our house's inside is pretty hot, but we kept him wrapped up in lots of blankets.

i dont know the last time he pooped. WEIRD THING IS...
the poop changed color over time we had him. I think it was first black, then yellow, then turned white. Is that weird?

anyway, RIP our little Jerry. Wish I saw him open his eyes :sadness

So sorry to hear that - rest peacefully little Jerry :sadness

Cause was probably wrong formula and over feeding causing the diarrhea. Not your sisters fault lacking proper care information. She tried and did the best she could and that is commendable. Thank her for helping this little baby :grouphug
