So on 4/11/18 around 4 pm my friend came rushing in saying he knocked down a nest...i rushed out found one baby on the ground balled up...so i quickly wrapped the baby up and put him in box.. mama never came back in an hour and half.. i couldnt leave the little guy there... that night i quickly read everything i could.. bought the esbilac... i think i did cause him to choke working with an over size syringe that i need to replace.. then i started diving into information all day, saying i need much smaller feeding syringes.. i willget those today when and after i get some sleep being now 4/13/18 @ 3 am in the morning..but i think he could be clicking.. at first i thought it was his mouth making noises..but i have fed him the formula most of the day then a couple feedings today i got him to drink about 3 CC total of pedialite over a 3 hour window, so about 1 cc an hour for extra hydration just in case.. he was pooping after stimulation.. but after i fed him pedilite his stool got really watery last time i checked him...so i know i need smaller syringes. i am mixing his formula using the 3/1 ratio.. 1/4 cup powder and added 3/4 water and into the fridge it went so i can heat some up on demand instead of each time mixing it.. So after reading so much today i am paranoid /slash certain he is clicking.. after reading everything im not sure if the vet will help a wild animal, ill try tomorrow to see if they will perscribe me something for him.. but if they dont... what should i try and get my hands on to possibly treat an asperation pneumonia...i would rather be safe then sorry.. i would like to get him on his feet then get him back into the wild when he is ready and if he dont become ready or doesnt want too, i supposed i will be building a couple cages for him to live happy and healthy... So my biggest concern is acting quickly.. if my vet wont perscribe me soemthing for him.. what can i use instead for him?? thank you for your time folks

See if you can find anyone with Cipro (Human antibiotic) or Baytril,
Clavamox or Augmentin.
They can go down really fast as aspiration pneumonia is the #1 killer
of baby squirrels in captivity.
If you mix the formula up ahead of time, let it sit for about 4-6 hours before using.
Whisk it up occasionally, and then you can freeze it in ice cube trays (then place the cubes in a zip lock bag)
take out what you need the night before. Do not reheat formula after you're done feeding
throw it away.
I see you put a link to the baby squirrel guide, so you know about the heating pag and the set up, correct?
Where in NH do you live. We have a vet that will see squirrels but I'm not sure how close you are.
Are you anywhere near Manchester?

Baytril comes in both, pill and liquid.
Get whatever you can, and we can dose whichever one you find,
as long as you give a weight in grams and the strength/mg of the antibiotic.

Cipro is a human drug - normally in pill form - frequently used by women for urinary tract infections.

my mom just called and said she has some doxycycline hyc 100.. this sound familiar to any one...if not cant i just go and complain of a toothache and ask for cipro...cause i do have a bad tooth and it would be believable lol

I will send you a couple Baytril tablets if you pm me your address. You still must get the baby started on the doxy if this is ap.
I can send you dosing but I need to know if there is powder inside the capsule, or little balls.
