Hot scented oil

HELP! my eastern grey squirrel touched some hot scented oil! Im pretty sure because it was so hot he didnt get to ingest any but now hes sneezing up a storm! I washed his face really well and put some coconut oil on his nose. Hes still sneezing but hes eating and running around. How worried should i really be?!?!?!? Is he going to be ok!??!?!!?

I've never had this happen before but I would think if he didn't ingest any he should be ok. Wash of any as best you can. He's probably sneezing because it's on his nose and it smells really strong. Maybe clean up his nose as best you can.

As long as the oil isn't toxic and he wasn't burned he should be OK. I have had squirrels for over 30 years and they get into everything. Toxins, woodstoves, and electrical cords are hazards that can really harm them. First time I have heard of one getting into an oil warmer.
