Are you anywhere near Clermont (Lake County)? I have an EXCELLENT experienced licensed rehabber there and Clermont has a lot of lakes and fresh water when our droughts kick in. She has experience with soft release.

Yes, where are you located in Florida? There are many members located throughout the state.

I’m looking into whether we have someone in your area that can release. As soon as I know, I will post it here. :grin2

There are a lot of "rehabbers" in Florida, the trick is finding a good one. There is a good one up in Nassau County and another in St Johns county, not so much in Duval (Jax). I will make some calls,

I was wondering if The Ark in Jax will release others rehabs? Anyone know? They are a very trustworthy organization.

I’m still working on this. I got a phone number for someone, but it appears it may be a fax line. I have also sent a private message to another member in the Jax area to see if they can help you. I’m sorry it’s taking so long. Hang tight. :grin2

Here’s the website with the contact information for a very reputable animal care sanctuary in Jacksonville. I believe they will be able to help you with your releases. Good luck.

If you don’t hear back from them via email I would definitely try one of the posted numbers.

I work with The Ark and I am located on Amelia Island just north of Jacksonville. I have two release cages empty right now and a yard full of Hurricane Irma female releases. I can help if you need.

I spoke with Anne from The Ark and she says that this is someone who is a volunteer for Jonathan and she thinks it would be a perfect place for your little guys to be released. :bliss

The boys have been picked up and put in a release cage together and are doing great exploring and acting like squirrels. A previous female release (Big Red Mama) came by to see what all the fuss was about and set the aggressive male straight when he charged at her from inside the RC. I don't know what she told him, but I am sure it wasn't very nice and he is on his very best behavior now. :grin2 hahaha

Thank you so much for making yourself available to take these boys. :hug. I’m sure they are super anxious to get to the trees and to claim territory. :duel Best of luck with them. :grouphug
