Gibby has been indoors with me for a little over a year now and I've recently noticed some weird yellow goo coming out of his butthole. I have a video looking at it that I'll post a link to as well as pictures. It doesn't smell at all..if anything maybe a tiny bit sweet? But that's very very slight. Any idea what this could be? He is eating well and has high energy. The only other weird thing is his fur is patchy/shedding for a couple months now.
Should I be worried about this?

What's his diet and have you bought anything new or changed his diet at all. Or did he get any special treat or something to chew?

He eats a lot of greens, HH blocks, veggies and fruit. I follow the Henry's squirrel food pyramid. The only things I can think of that changed are that I brought him in branches from outside and that we did have a mouse in the house that we caught and haven't seen mice in over three weeks. So I'm not sure if they maybe carried something in?
Hmmm. I don't know about the mice but anything is possible. What kind of plant was the branch from, did you cut it from the tree or get it off of the ground?
How is the poo today?

Hello,
I cut off the branches from a crabapple tree and an oak tree. It's still the same looking today. Not sure if I should treat for tapeworms possibly? If so, how to treat for that?
I was looking at your other threads. Did your vet say he had tape worms when you got him? Is that why you suspect them now?
Also, is this yellow stool just here and there or is this what ALL of his poops look like? Is it firm or diarrhea? You can post a photo if you want.

Hi there,
It is not always like this, no. He normally has completely normal poo. I just noticed this goo again a few days ago. But I've been treating with Diatomaceous Earth the past three days and it seems to be getting a bit better. The yellow stuff isn't as frequent that I've noticed but it looks to be more dried out when he passes it and darker in color. Almost as if the DM is doing its job. Yes, he did have tapeworms at the very beginning when I first brought him inside from attempting to be wild. It looked a lot like what he has now. It's just little round gooey yellow things in his poo. I did post a video of it and pictures above in my main post. I'm hoping this diatomaceous earth will help. He has been shedding and had weird patchy fur for a while now too, so I'm hoping that will also get back to normal.
