View Full Version : Which antibiotic

On Feb 28th my nr went in for eye removal. Today I noticed puss coming from that eye socket. I have contacted the vet to figure out what to do but I'm curious as to what antibiotics would work best for this situation.I think she will tell us to put him on baytril but not to sure if that is the best one. I would use Clavamox or even Clavamox stacked with Clindamycin since the eye socket is such a critical area.

Vet gave Baytril injection and I have dosed Clavamox. This is the eye wound in question.

Like always you guys are awesome. He has been started on clavamox and he will get the clindamycin once I get to my lead rehabber to get it.

He seems to be doing a little better. Doing warm compresses a couple times a day plus the antibiotics the puss is now white and clear liquid. Hoping by mid week this will all be cleared up!!!
