I’ve had Mollie for 3 days now. Not sure of age. I was thinking she was much younger than Nancy said, as her weight is 50g. Part of my reason for thinking that is that she is VERY pink, and her grey fur seems to be just coming in, even though it looks darker in the photos.

A little background:
I found her being carried around, screaming, by a cat at about 11pm Sunday night. She had superficial scratches and one substantial puncture wound on her cheek. She’s on probios and antibiotics since day 1, per Nancy’s guidance.

Pink skin/ wounds

Super pink skin, since day 1 I do not believe it’s associated with too much heat.

Day 3

Cheek puncture wound today

I’m concerned about the discoloration on her belly. She also has some new red bumps under her left arm.

These red bumps are also new. They weren’t there Sunday night.

I'm going to move this thread to the emergency forum.
Hopefully someone can give you some suggestions.

I had two bunnies who last Spring and one had some internal bleeding and bruising like that under the skin on the abdomen. Thankfully he recovered just fine and was released. It looks like bruising to me. My buns were found in fill dirt that had been delivered to someone's house so theirs was a crushing injury. Probably the same for yours if she was between chompers.

Is Mollie still eating well? Is she urinating and moving her bowels ok? Do you notice extreme lethargy? If you don’t notice anything alarming in her behavior, then I’d continue to monitor the discoloration on the stomach and any other marks. I would take a guess that the marks on the stomach are bruising from being in the cats mouth. Sometimes bruises don’t show up immediately.

If you notice any disturbing behavior or physical limitations (not pooping/peeing, etc) then post it here so someone can help you.

Bruises and even little scratches and pokes can take a few days to appear. Prayers for that tiny little darling...:Love_Icon
