Lucky is having pain when she tries to eat or drink. She doesn’t want anything touching her mouth. Can’t get a vet appointment till Monday. Can someone give me dosage amount on infants ibuprofen for a 580 gram squirrel? And how often should I give it?

Thanks for the info. I called my vet to let him know I was gonna give her the infants ibuprofen and he said absolutely not to. Said something about causing kidney problems. Is he being overly cautious? I don’t want her in pain till her meds get here tomorrow. Should I give it to her anyway?

Listen to your vet, I assume there is history there?
Did he prescribe something to arrive tomorrow, any idea what it is?

He is sending medicam. There has been no history of kidney problems. The only other thing that she has taken was pimobedan but they took her off that on Tuesday because her heart looked good on the ultrasound.

You can not mix Ib with Metecam and any Ib has to be cleared of system before administering Metecam.
I understand it's hard knowing your baby is in pain but it's best to wait, try to keep her calm and comfortable
and follow your vets instructions.

Have you given ANY ibuprofen, at ANY time? If not then you can administer the metacam when it arrives.
