Hello...
My 6 month old lil grey squirrel has always scratched her ears But lately she is doing it much more often. There is no redness or discharge, they are very clean.
Is it common for squirrel to scar h their ears alot ?

This can be from molting most likely if your squirrel is just scratching in and around the ear in genenal, including behind the ear, or from mites perhaps?

Our girl had dry ears and would put the toe nail of her back foot carefully against the inside of her outer ear to scratch it.
The vet examined her and looked into her ear and found no evidence of insect or mites. The vet recommended to put one small drop of (organic) vegetable glycerine into the ear opening, and massage it in to relieve itchiness; then remove any excess on the inside of the outside ear with a cue-tip.

Though less likely, if the scratching is on the inside, besides dry ear, it could indicate wax build up, and perhaps a developing middle ear infection.
