As many of you know JD Marx has had seizures since he was a baby......
It was recommended we try giving him Magnesium and it worked at keeping the
seizures at bay as long as he takes it morning and night.
I am running out of the liquid cal mag 500mg / 500mg which I had been using and can
no longer find.... have been searching for weeks online and contacting a couple of TSB
Rehabbers about another product but so many mag products also contain Vit D or other
items not wanted it has been a rough road.
NEED a NEW Magnesium liquid or powder ASAP so I can order and ship for Stosh to
pick up when he is in FL Feb 3rd - Feb 12th. Running out of time.
Liquid I am using: 500 / 500 cal mag Serving Size 1 tablespoon for humans.... JD's
1 { one } drop from a 1 cc syringe mixed into a boo ball, twice daily.
I THINK some one may have recommended something awhile back but it was a powder (I think) and i still had
my desire strictly on a liquid so I would not have to mix.... at this point just need what is right and BEST for JD.
I have a couple of products here which were brought from the US some time back and just
found packed away.......... IF IF I can use this I need proper math dosing for a similar or same dose
as JD is receiving now.
Magnesium Citrate - hard dry pill with outer coating { would need to crush and add to water}
.Human Serving size 2 tablets = 400 mg
Other ingredients: Cellulose, stearic acid ( veg source) croscarmellose sodium, magnesium stearate ( veg source), silicon dioxiode and film coating (hudroxypropyl methylcellulose and veg glycerin)
EXP: 01 / 2017
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Also wondering if I could use this for my babies ? ? ?
Calcium Citrate - 100% Pure Powder 700 mg per 1 1/2 level teaspoon
Other ingrediants: None
Best By: 02 / 2015
For JD Marx, REALLY need Help here with the Magnesium !
Thanks.

Have never purchased any type of vitamins nor minerals here..... every thing is sky high and concern
we would not know for certain just how good it is........ but, Stosh can look in the Pharmacy tomorrow if they
are open.

The two drops comes to slightly over 5 mg. way too low for a supplement for tree squirrels daily. The adult squirrels need at least 200 mg a day, perhaps 250 mg. calcium daily if they are larger than the southern ssp. for the Eastern Gray squirrel? Using a liquid would require many bottles to support this level daily; not really economical, even so convenient.
With these sources from Frontier Natural adding what theyneed can be done within 8 to 10 mg. I can give you the exact measures that will work and can be added to the BooBalls no problem. Just sen me a PM DF
Here are the links. for 1lb. bulk powder bags (no additives)

I would get more than one bag for all your crew. Be aware that some drugs are cut with Calcium Citrate, so you may get a look or two just though to warn you. :grin3

You will also need to get this set for measuring if you don't have one already; it goes down to 1/64 Tsp., which for the powders is needful to have.

I also recommend this water filter that "Luvs", a longtime member here purchased, and uses for their squirrel. https://www.amazon.com/Aquasana-Machine-Powered-Pitcher-Filters/dp/B01IKPCXIS/ref=dp_ob_title_hi
https://www.amazon.com/Pet-Flora-Spectrum-Prebiotic-Probiotic/dp/B073G9K4XV/ref=sr_1_4_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1517103175&sr=8-4&keywords=pet+flora
Soil Based bacteria probiotic from Pet Flora (best deal for the quality and amount compared to a similar product with the same name), is vital to support both good digestion, but also a healthy immune system. For with 80% of the immune system located in the gut. if not given the support of a source of good bacteria, then bad bacteria can overwelm their gut flora, making they susceptible to developing reoccuring UTI Struvite stones, and other bacterial infections, that can lead to early mortality.

Have you tried contacting Dr. Emerson at Ravenwood Vet Clinic? She might have or be able to advise you about a liquid form of magnesium. I get a liquid form of calcium from her for Joey. If Josh is going to be in Indialantic, her office is an hour and 15 minute drive from there. The phone for Ravenwood is: 386-788-1550.

Rosie, in your situation, I think I would prefer to get powdered minerals (toss in freezer and they last forever) and make up my OWN mixture for JD based on his preferences. If he loves coconut juice, you use that; if he prefers some other juice, you use that. The magnesium powders all seem to be colorless/tasteless, which makes it a little easier.
Google "magnesium powder" - this is one: https://www.puritan.com/puritans-pride-brand-0102/pppp400mg8-ozpwd-057253?scid=41812&cmp=gpl-_-mineralproducts-_-057253%20Puritan%27s%20Pride&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI-vPls4f72AIVBbnACh0JWgd5EAYYBCABEgIRh_D_BwE
but there are tons. No calcium in this though any place you buy the magnesium powder from can undoubtedly sell you calcium as well. Look for calcium carbonate - it is more concentrated than calcium citrate so you don't have to use as much of it.
Another place to try is www.bulksupplements.com. Real good prices and the stuff is usually just a single item instead of "blends" of a bunch of different vitamins and minerals...

The only thing with the powdered stuff, after reading reviews, is that it may not “mix” well into liquids. But, like CM said, it should keep very well in the freezer.

Dandelion root inhibits alfatoxins, and also inhibits kidney stones helping urinary calculi in the bladder to pass.
Scroll down to see Dandelion extract:

MTS also helps to protect the liver also from alfatoxins. This oone also from Oregon Wild Harvest; both are organic.
Milk Thistle Seed elixer:

As a pair they help to balance one another, for MTS when intake is too high it may cause loose stool, but the Dandelion root extract supports moving water out the urine, bringing balance both the bowel and the urinary tract.

The issue of Calcium carbonate being 40% elemental isn't an issue when you add the equiovolent slightly greater measure of powder. In addition, it is far more soluble which makes it a superior source of calcium to that of the old standard C. carbonate as far as being absorbed into the bones goes. And though C. Carbonate in foods support the elimination of some oxalates to exit the bowel, C. Citrate also does this, but then doesn't bond with oxalic acid, as to not giving up the calcium in it to oxalate predation as C. carbonate does. Where C. carbonate contributes to the CaOx load and loss of calcium in the diet, C. Citrate reduces the CaOx load without calcium loss in the diet. This is why Calcium Citrates in this century are the better source than the old standard C. Carbonate, in support metabolic and bone health.
