I have human sulfamethoxazole 800mg/160mg. The baby who needs the med weighs only 13 grams. How do I dilute the pill to a dosage her body can handle?

Oh my God, a pinkie in January. You need Nancy in New York, TubeDriver, SammysMom or one of our doseing experts to help you. I wish I was one of them. Check through the night as some check in late. Got any Cipro? Works really fast for aspiration pneumonis. Prayers for your baby.

Sorry I'm just coming back on the board.
I can dose this.
What is the baby being dosed for?
Is SMZ-TMP the only antibiotic that you have?
I will write this up and send in a pm, but this may
NOT be the correct antibiotic. It all depends on why
you're dosing it. Also SMZ-TMP is a slow acting ab.
Is there anyway to get this baby to a rehabber?
Do you have this little one, or are you helping someone?
I will write this up and send in a pm immediately.
I pray for this innocent life.

Edit: Dosing sent.

I have 3 baby’s all together. I am feeding them esbilac puppy formula and adding a tiny bit of heavy whipping cream. I have had them since the 16th I hydrated hem well the first day and then started the formula about 12 hrs after I got them. They are all very strong , moving around great, and very what to eat, however they are not gaining weight but have lost a little since I’ve had them. They all pee and poop well when stimulates. I’m feeding them about every 2-3 hrs around the clock. I have had a little trouble feeding them because I’m just so worried about AP. I don’t know for certain that the one I mentioned to begin with has AP, but it will go into their trance like state with its moth open kinda like its sucking but it also looks like it’s maybe having a heard time breathing. They it will snap out of it and want to feed more. Today I finically come up with a better way to feed them. I took a QTip and secured a piece of panty hose over it with a rubber band, then I drop the formula onto it while the are sucking on it. They are finically gettingnwhat they need now I think. I’m just hoping they will start putting on weigh now any advice that I can get on anything would greatly help. I don’t want to lose one of these babies.

That gapeing is actually pretty common if it’s what I’m think of. It’s like a fish out of water “guppying”— a feeding trance. Your solution is ingenious. Have you tried a premie miracle nipple?

Is the Esbilac Puppy Formula you are giving the powdered formula as pictured below?
Make sure that you make the formula ahead of time, whisking it really well,
and put it in the refrig for ~ 6 hours to make sure it all dissolves.
How much are they taking at each feeding?
What are their weights now?

Take a look at this link. This is what is called "guppy mouth" when little squirrel go into a trance.
Is this what your little one looks like? The video link is at the bottom of the first post.
