I’m sorry, I know very little about flyers, but someone will be along soon that can help. He’s very cute, though. Did you just find him?

Yesterday he was given to me by a neighbor whose cat got him. No visible wounds and he acts okay! He's absolutely beautiful and so snuggly! Thank you!

You will not likely see damage from a cat until it abscesses, sometimes then it can be too late.
Cats carry a bacteria in their slava that can be deadly to squirrels, anti-biotcs are highly recommended!
I will move this to emergency to get more attention....

Thank you! I can definitely get him antibiotics. Would it be best to start him just in case of injuries?

Yes, absolutely!
Baytril (animal antibiotic) or Cipro (human) OR Clavamox or Augmentin.
All meds are dosed by weight. You will need to get it's weight, what type ab you can get,
let us know the milligram and we can advice on breakdown and dosing.

Yes, with cat bites it’s always best to err on the side of giving antibiotics instead of not. What antibiotics do you have access to? Clavamox (Augmentin) or Baytril (Cipro)? Or something else?
Step beat me to it!

I can check when I get home from work but I believe I have both Augmentin and Cipro. I will get him weighed and report back!
Any guess on age?

I can not guess on age but can you weigh him/her on a gram scale? Walmart or Bed Bath Beyond sell them if you do not have one.
Very cute baby

Post #1 and 9 give age based on weight.
After 7 weeks it's pretty hard to determine age but this does appear to be a young one based on the fur. Young flyers have a 'greasy look' to the fur. Adults have very smooth soft fur.

I got home and my husband said he was pretty lethargic all day. I know they're nocturnal but he said he was on his shirt sleeve and suddenly let go. I'm holding him now and he seems very sleepy but he's chirping at me quietly. I've never encountered a flyer before. It's this normal sleepy behavior? Or could he be worse that I thought? Haven't gotten him weighed yet. Need to pick up batteries for the scale. Checking on antibiotics now.

That's not really normal. Young flyers aren't fully nocturnal. I would hydrate him.
Homemade Rehydration Fluid
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 tablespoons sugar or apple juice
2 cups warm water
Store in refrigerator. Discard after 24 hours.
I would also put him on low heat (heating pad). Try to find antibiotics.
What are you feeding him?

Esbilac. I have Amox-Clav 875-125.
He took 1CC formula this morning at 6am but husband said he would not eat at 12. Couldn't get him to take formula at 6pm. I'll try hydration mixture.
He's steadily chirping at me and won't let me put him down. Grabs onto my fingers.
Typing 1 handed. Please excuse my short response!

He's not going to make it. I'm not sure how long the people who had him before me had him but he stopped chirping and is now dying. She didn't say what they were feeding him but that he ate once.
He's gone. I'm now a sobbing mess on the kitchen floor. Thank you for the responses. I wish I had gotten him sooner.

Oh No! I am so sorry! Antibiotics are imperative after being in a cats mouth. It’s very hard to tell if there is a slight puncture wound or not. I’m glad you were there with him when he passed. This breaks my heart as I know it does yours. :grouphug. RIP little one. :Love_Icon
