Toe nail finally fell off

I posted earlier thinking he had squirrel poxes but it turned out to be a pulled toe nail. His toe nail finally came off and it looks like he has maybe a bone popping out. How should I keep it from getting infected. I know I shouldn’t wrap it or anything but I’m just worried about it getting infected even though I keep their cage cleaned but I just want it to be ok

Check to see if it is bone or a new nail coming in. If it is bone you probably need to take him to the vet.
