Cage idea

I have seen on a flyer site, where some modify furniture into cages for these little guys... We have a cedar chest of drawers we don't use. What if we took out all the drawers, made perches/shelves, and wire mesh for the front... is that a feasible idea for two young flyers? Does it bother them if they only have one side to look out? Or are the open wire (all four sides) better for flyers?

I would be careful with cedar, cedar wood bedding is a no no as far as I know :nono . I would watch out in case your fur babies decided to chew your enclosure in question.
