what do squirrels use their tails for in the wild? is there a disadvantage to not having good tail lift? when i got tootsie she had 3 ant bits on her tail 2 were right next to eat other pretty much making a giant ant bite. which to a bigger squirrel in nothing but my toot was like 5 days old tiny so those nasty ants hurt her a bit. she drags her tail a lot she lift about the first two inches of it and thats about it. that is where the first bite was and further down where the double ant bite was it has a slight kink. i was just wondering how important the tail is? i know they use it to warn each other. so i feel bad for the squirrels around her no warning there lol. she has some control over it she can move it. just not well.

I did think maybe she has just never been scared or mad enough to really use it lol. But you know how when they eat they lift there tails and like curl them hers just lays flat
14 weeks? It's early still. Are you planning to overwinter her?
She may gain strength and dexterity in her tail with some practice and growth.
