Has anyone ever fed these? I saw them for sale on NUTS.com and wondered if they are safe for squirrels or even if they would eat them. They are supposed to be good for the liver in humans.

Milk Thistle Seed pods

Has anyone ever fed these? I saw them for sale on NUTS.com and wondered if they are safe for squirrels or even if they would eat them. They are supposed to be good for the liver in humans.

Organic MTS seeds are a super support for liver health, offering protection from a hit of alfatoxins found on grains, seeds, and nuts; and from the mycotoxins in toxic mushrooms, and toxic fungus. MTS seeds should be organic certified, as others may have been fumigated with pesticides.

Best to get the seeds from a certified organic source like Oregon Wild Harvest, that uses good protocols. I have used this source in a diet for tree squirrels. (see Amazon.com)_

The hulls like any seed shell are far more likely to be contaminated with aspergillus fungus. For this reason I would not give the pods to squirrels.
