Hi, I am caring for a 6 week old grey squirrel. She gulped her Fox Valley formula through a miracle nipple last night and has mild clicking today. I have Baytil (50 mg/ml) and wanted to know if 5 mg/kg is an adequate dose to give. I also would like to know if it should be given once or twice daily and for how many days? She is .17 kg (170 grams).

Hi, Please do not dose until you gave exact dosing amounts . I can calculate exact dosing for you for 170g squirrel. Hang on, I need to get home to get my dosing guides.

The compounded Baytril is fresh (doesn’t expire until 1/18). It is specially compounded for animals
