My 12ish week old red squirrel vomits occasionally right after eating. Not a lot, and she certainly doesn't seem to be bothered by it. Its almost like it happens from her eating too fast? Has anyone else had this happen? Should I be more concerned? I'm hoping if I go back to syringe feeding the first couple cc's of a feeding then maybe she won't eat the rest so quickly out of a dish. She is still gaining weight, eats and drinks, pees and poops healthily, and has tonnes of energy.

I wouldn't think vomiting is good at any time. Hopefully someone can help help you figure out why it is happening....

Can you post a picture of her? I bet she is beautiful...

Her tail is actually much fluffier than it looks in these pictures. Just the angle I guess. She is OBSESSED with chewing on my cellphone so the only time I can get a good picture of her is when she is eating lol!

How much formula is she taking?
What kind are you feeding?
When she vomits, what is it that comes up?
This isn't normal, but I'm baffled what it could be.
Hopefully others will chime in and give their opinion.
Are you giving her squirrel blocks, and
are you feeding her the healthy diet?
Diet really is the key to everything.
Your little one is just precious!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:klunk

She gets somewhere between 9 and 12 cc's of formula 3-4 times a day. Her formula is about 70/30 FV20/50 and Esbiliac puppy powder with probiotics. She weighs around 175 grams. She gets fresh, washed romaine lettuce or cabbage, a couple pieces of green bean and white or cremini mushrooms every day. She also gets carrot, cucumber, celery and celery leaves, butternut squash, avocado flesh, brussels sprouts, cauliflower, and broccoli, she gets a couple of these a day, I try to mix it up so she doesn't get bored. She is on the Henry's high protein blocks and she gets 2 of them a day. For treats she gets a blueberry or a small piece of apple, strawberry, banana, grape or a couple kernels of corn. Sometimes she also gets a few licks of organic fruit baby food or yogurt. And she gets a couple home made cookies a day that are made up mostly of oxbow food, baby food and ground almond, they're about the size of a dime. I have only seen her vomit a few times and it happens right after eating some formula and she vomits less than .4 of a cc. It just looks like formula and spit.

WOW that diet looks fantastic. Good for you and good for her.
When did the vomiting start?
Strange that it's only after her formula feedings.
I do wonder if she is taking it too quickly.
She is adorable by the way, simply adorable.
Reds are my best. :w00t

She is adorable and that diet is great. Think about things that would make a baby vomit: eating too fast, bubbles in the formula, overfeeding or moving around too much and spitting up/position of feeding. Make some tweaks here and there and see if that doesn't help.

First time I noticed it was last weekend after she started getting her formula in a bowl instead of syringe feeding. She doesn't vomit every feeding, she doesn't even vomit everyday. I syringe fed her last feeding and she was fine, so maybe she is just eating too fast or gulping too much air from the bowl. Sometimes I give her a little more than 12cc's because she acts like she is starving, but those never seem to be the times when she vomits. When she does vomit it's part-way through eating, she eats a few cc's then vomits, then goes back to eating and is fine after.
