Balding yard squirrel

One of our yard squirrels seems to be losing fur. Noticed it a couple weeks ago near the hind legs, now has spreaded across whole back. Trying to post pic. Any idea what this is?

Looks like molt to me, I'm seeing the same here with my wilds.
They are all molting to the grey winter coat, a lot of mine look
like they are wearing chaps.

Yes, long hair pants is what I call it, or butt tuffs.
