I leave mine under half the cage until I see they are starting to move off of it to sleep or if they are consistently sleeping on top of the covers to get away from the heat.

I asked because I sow my babies doing the same thing but they are only 7 weeks, they are jumping out off the cage and running around the house, thanks god I was in the house and I saw them, so I fitted their cage in this way till I receive the toys that I buy from amazon, 293879

That's an awesome cage, but at 7 weeks it's probably too big for them. I have a 7 week old that's in a guinea pig type cage. Also, you don't want to have the heating pad in the cage because they can (and probably will) chew the cord and electrocute themselves.

It's normal for them to venture off the heat at that age to play, but they usually still like it a while longer for when they sleep. I keep mine under the cage for as long as they will burrow down and sleep on it.

May be you could put it up against the bottom of the cage and put something under it to keep it flush against it?? But I think you gotta get that cord out of the cage. They'll chew both cord and pad. Or just keep the room really warm if you're worried and offer a nice something for them to snuggle into together.

Thank you, let see what can I do for my adventures babies to keep them save when I'm working jejejeje, it is not easy because they love being out of their plastic cage, 😍😍😍, they are sleeping now, here is a picture of my Banner and Flappy

They have their blanket but they're sleeping on top all the time, And the room is warm, do you think that they going to be ok in their cage if I put the blanket inside with the tree ????
