Hi,
I have a 3-4 week old boy squirrel, he has been rehydrated, and is now on 1:2 mix of puppy formula, which he is taking in 6ml every 31\2 hours. He is peeing good. But in the 3 days I have had him he has only pooed 1 tiny hard poo. I have tried gas x, apple juice, and stimulating him. Nothing.. Please help me.

Which puppy formula do you have him on? Is it the esbilac with the banner at the top that says with pre/probiotics? When did you switch him from rehydration fluid to formula?

Try giving him hydration between feedings.
Give him warm water with a touch of honey for taste.
Is his belly hard or does it feel like an inflated balloon?
Sometimes it takes a while to poop depending on how long
they have been without their mom. We have a member here
from Costa Rica and every single baby he got would take
3-4 days before they pooped.
Like Jen413 asked what formula are you feeding?
The tiny hard poo was probably from his momma's milk.
Is he bloated? Can you post a picture of his belly?

He is on p&g puppy formula with pre probiotics. I started him on that with a 1:3, 24 hours after I got him. His tummy is round but soft. He is pretty active and if I let him he would gobble his formula quite fast, thank god for a good 3ml luer and a miracle nipple! I will try the water with honey next. How about water with caro syrup? It is what I use on kittens that have this problem.

How old is your little one and what is his weight?
Can you post a picture.
You can use the caro syrup, I only suggested the honey
for taste, not for the laxative effect. Molasses will have the same
effect, and it has calcium in it too. Remember just a tad
of whichever you choose.

Oh I miss typed, it is PetAg milk replacer plus for puppies. With pre/probiotics. I will try the molasses just a tiny amount to see how it works. I have a picture but it is on my phone and I cannot' figure out how to post it. He is 3-4 weeks and weighs 97g.

That sounds like the wrong formula. If you go to this link and scroll down to post #33, that is the correct esbilac. I'm not sure if that is the problem or if he just hasn't had enough formula go through his system to produce poops yet. However the wrong formula can cause all kinds of digestive issues and poopy problems.

This is the formula you should be giving.
If it's the first one (PetLac)it sits like cement in their tummies.
Let me know which one you are feeding.

I was giving the wrong one, have since switched to the correct esbilac formula. Also giving him pedialite between feedings. Still no poops, eyes just opened and he is frisky. Tummy is round but not tight, and he is peeing good.

OK how long has it been since he's pooped?
Stop the Pedialyte and start giving him warmed water
with some apple juice. Apples contain pectin, and that will
pull water into the gut.
Can you post a picture of his tummy?
How much formula are you feeding and how often.
What does this little one weigh?

It has been 4 days since he pooped, he is eating 6-8 ml every 4 hrs now, and weighs about 100 grams. Warm water and apple juice next. Can't post pic.
I would recommend buying infant gas x as well.

My baby had that issue. A small amount of Karo syrup in her formula always seemed to do the trick! Hope this helps and your furr baby gets better. Prayers to ya'll.
