My baby is very social and I am just wondering how you all deal with the scratches on your skin. I trimmed the white part of his nails but its still sharp. The nails are too small to file I tried a little.

Don't trim his nails!.. he needs those right now to learn to climb and jump.
If he is scratching he is nervous or afraid.
Do not let multiple people handle him... just you.
Keep other people and loud noises away from him while handling.
Take it slow, pet and tickle him, let him nip you, and explore you to learn to trust you.
Try to 'handle' him as little as possible.. for example let him come to a food syringe.
If walks on your bare skin without scratching and tries to nip fleas off you.. you know he trusts you.
He should not scratch anymore unless he is startled.

We just deal with it, it's unavoidable with these babies. You are their tree... :grin3
Keep a long sleeve shirt handy and wear it when you interact with your squirrel.
I had to keep oversized sweat pants and a hoodie that I would zip up and put the hood on when I played with them. They zoom up and down you so fast, you will be a bloody mess afterward. Even if you trim them, you can't go back far at all before you hit the quick and they bleed, so it's not worth it and they are still sharp afterward. They're made to be daggers because they're rodent monkeys!
