I have a little flyer, 7 grams. Clicking while breathing, estimated to be about 5 weeks... ish. His eyes are open. Mild aspiration about 3 days ago... Noticeably lethargic and as stated earlier, clicking. Not really hungry. I have 500 mg cipro. Need dosing guidance. Don’t want to loose this little man.

Uhm, please check your weight on the little one. A 5 week old flyer should NOT weigh 7 grams.

He is actually 9 gms according to my scale, just weighed him. He is tiny. I’m guessing his age only because of his eyes... but, I could be completely wrong. His eyes are open but just barely.
I can’t figure out how to attach a picture!!

I hate to ask you this but are you sure it's a flying squirrel? Following is the "norm" for flyers. I do realize you're in Florida, and everything is smaller in Florida, but an eyes open flyer at 9 grams???? :thinking
days ---- 5g
7 days ---- 7g
9 days ---- 7-8g
12 days -- 10-11g
14 days -- 11-13g
17 days -- 12-13g
19 days -- 15-16g
21 days -- 16-19g
28 days -- eyes open
30 days -- 25-26g
31 days -- 27-28g
35 days -- 30-31g
38 days -- 32-34g
41 days -- 34-37g
50 days -- 41-52g (note the large variation now)
52 days -- 43-53g
The reason I'm harping on the weight is because meds are dosed by weight...it's just not adding up
20-24g which is what the fly should be converts to .715-.8466 oz. Bet the scale is on ounces.

Excellent point! I didn't even think about that! Now we just need confirmation from the OP then we can get this guy on some meds.
Thank you!
